11 Texting Conversation Starters

Communication has now become faster, shorter and some would say, hipper.Texting is low-key and a lot less nerve-wracking than face-to-face conversations or phone calls. So take a deep breath, summon your courage and start texting.

  1. “Guess what happened to me yesterday?”
  2. “So, what are you doing this very second – apart from thinking about me!”
  3. “What did you think of school today?” If the reply is something like “Okay, I guess” or “Pretty normal,” you could ask what he or she thought of the homework, the science experiment you did, the geography project you’ve been assigned, the book report due in next week or the exams that are coming up soon.
  4. “You just popped into my head and I thought I’d say Hi”
  5. “Great Jacket!” Or shoes, hair style or so on…Everyone loves to be complimented.
  6. “I woke up today and thought something was missing. So I got up from my bed, grabbed my cell phone and sent you a greeting. Good morning”
  7. “Hey, stop thinking about me ;-)..wass up?”Such a text is ideal for someone you know a bit and wish to get flirty with.
  8. “I bet my weekend can beat up your weekend.” This is a particularly great text since it not only gets off a conversation but can eventually lead to a date too.
  9. “Which Beatles Song Is The Best” Start to talk about him or her interest.
  10. “If u had 24 hours left to live, how would u spend the rest of your life?” mysterious can be great conversations openers.
